Maverik created the Rome gloves combining all of their past research and product lines into a single product.

As a lacrosse player, you know that the key aspects of a pair of gloves are protection, airflow, and grip control.  These gloves won’t let you down in any of those areas. Using their signature technology of vents, fibers, foam, and grip, you can tell this glove combines the best ideas Maverik have created.

Comfort

An interesting aspect of these gloves are the TruVents, which are wire vents in the back of the hand, letting air flow through to a typically over-heated region of the glove. Along with the vents, these gloves have a Thermoblast coating, which further helps them stay cool.

Maverik’s signature DuraStretch fibers in the fingers and palms create flexibility while also expanding airflow.

Protection

The XFoam technology in these gloves minimizes impact while not being too bulky. They also contain trigger finger protection which is a must these days. To make sure your hands are extra protected, Maverik also included a SharpGel padding along the thumb knuckle.

Along the back of the wrist, Rome added an extra pad to protect that painful spot when a defender makes a cheap slash. The cuffs have a multi-layer system making sure they fit well and also respond when you need them to.

Grip

These gloves have multiple breaks in the padding and also on the inner grip to help them adjust to your individual hand. Using their SeamlessPalm technology, the fabric in the palm is consistent throughout which translates in into a consistent and confident hold.

Wear and Tear

These gloves don’t take long to break in, giving you instant control over your stick. Just the way you want it. Again with their SeamlessPalm technology, most of the palm doesn’t have any stitching to wear out. Split stitching is one main reason’s gloves fall apart. It’s nice to know that won’t be a problem.

Maverik put Skarkskin texture on areas that get the most wear, making sure you get the longest use of your gloves possible.

Summary

The Maverik Rome lacrosse gloves are a great choice for any player who likes to get in the thick of a tough situation and needs a glove that can handle the checks.

Maverik went above and beyond in the strength and protection of your hands for these gloves, so you won’t ever have to think twice about going for those ground balls.

    Good:
Not much, I don't use them anymore
    Bad:
too small, don't loosen up at all, hand get hot even with the ventilation
    Overall:
I bought the larges/13" and they run kinda small. They were so tight that my hands got really hot. The ventiation is pretty good, it's just that they're so tight. If you have big hands, look for other gloves. I gave these to team mate and have gone back to my old Myabachs.

    Good:
snug fit with great flexibility, protection, light, look cool
    Bad:
nothing, but shop around to get a cheap price
    Overall:
Great glvoes. They're not restrictive and move well with my hands and fingers. My old gloves were stiff and crusty, but my team mates tried them on and they say the same. I play a lot in cold conditions and these feel so comfortable, like winter gloves. the padding on the back of the hand is good to.

    Bad:
    nothing

For years I was a loyal Brine King fan, but have switched to Maverik for these gloves because they are so freakin awesome! The Rome's are really light and the protection is excellent. I've had a couple of big hits on my hands since wearing these and no problems. They are expensive but they're top line gloves and worth every cent.

pretty much everything is better than all the others
    Bad:
    nothing

These are so ballin, you gotta get them! They are the best gloves I've ever worn. I've got two other pairs of gloves, the king 3s and k18s, and the Rome's are sooo much better. These have more protection than the kings and about the same as the k18's. But these flex a lot better than my k18s. Other good things are that they're light, stay cool and the feel you get on your shaft is like nothing else. Awesome gloves!

    Good:
protection, light, palm grip is awesome, feel great
    Bad:
hands get a bit hot, they look .. different.
    Overall:
Best gloves, hands down, BOOYAH! Some people don't like them because they're ugly, but they're the ones missing out. There's no break in period, these are good to go from the start. The leather on the palm feels great and gives you a good feel of your shaft.

Protection-wise, they're great and the gel on the thumb is nice. My hands do get a bit hot so the ventilation could be a bit better. They're abit pricey, but they feel great and protect well.

    Good:
this new palm design, good grip, shark padding,
    Bad:
the price man, so expensive but worth it
    Overall:
These are extremely comfortable and took only a few minutes to break in. I broken them in shooting for goal and the palm feels great. You get so much grip & feel from the new seamless palm, I love them. They're not bulky and the padding is ultra-tough, u dont' feel much from checks.
